Ottawa Based Startup Selected to Present at Leading Technology Conference

(Ottawa, Ontario -January 10, 2006) iotum™, developers of the iotum Relevance Engine™, has been selected to participate in DEMO 2006.

DEMO 2006, which is scheduled for February 6-8 at the South Pointe Resort in Phoenix, AZ, annually brings together emerging companies with new services or products that are about to be unveiled for both the business and consumer markets. At DEMO, companies present their new offerings before an audience of leading business, consumer and technology trade media, analysts and investors.

“iotum brings to DEMO 2006 something that is unique, needed and timely for everyone from students to executives,” said Chris Shipley, executive producer of DEMO 2006. “iotum’s offering is based upon its Relevance Engine and I’m confident it will be well-received by DEMO attendees.”

The annual DEMO conferences focus on emerging technologies and new products, which are hand-selected from across the spectrum of the technology marketplace. The DEMO conferences have earned their reputation for consistently identifying tomorrow’s cutting-edge technologies, and have served as launch pad events for companies such as Palm, E*Trade, Handspring and U.S. Robotics, helping them secure venture funding, establish critical business relationships and influence early adopters. Each DEMO conference features approximately 70 new companies, products and technologies. For more information on the DEMO conferences, visit

“We’re elated to be one of the chosen presenters at DEMO 2006,” said iotum CEO and Co-Founder Alec Saunders. “Given that we just came out of stealth mode in September with a hint about what iotum is capable of, we feel that DEMO is the ideal event to showcase a new way to communicate more effectively.”
