Hand raising during a conference call is easy to do with Calliflower. Users online can simple press the raise hand button, while users on telephone hand sets simply press *2 to raise or lower a hand.

Once a hand is raised, two things happen:

  • an icon representing the raised hand appears above the photograph of the user.
  • the users photograph is moved to the beginning of the participant display in order that the moderator can see that someone is waiting to speak.

The moderator may recognize the user by unmuting their line (accomplished by clicking the mute icon above the user's photograph), thus allowing that person to speak. Once finished, the line can be muted again, and the moderator can click on the raised hand to lower it, returning the user to the group of participants listening only.
